This week at Forest School was full of exciting discoveries and hands-on learning in nature.

One of the highlights of our week was finding a blackbird's nest hidden behind our shed. We sat quietly and patiently, hoping to catch a glimpse of the mother blackbird returning to feed her chicks. We were amazed by how noisy the baby birds were and how much they wriggled as they waited for their next meal. It was a wonderful opportunity to observe wildlife up close while learning the importance of being calm and respectful around nesting birds.

We also spent time caring for our vegetable garden by watering our growing plants. The children enjoyed helping to look after the vegetables and talked about what plants need to grow strong and healthy.

Our adventures continued with some bug hunting! Armed with magnifying glasses and lots of curiosity, we searched under logs, in the grass, and among the leaves to discover a variety of fascinating minibeasts. We found insects, spiders, and other tiny creatures, discussing their habitats and why they are so important for our environment.

It has been another fantastic week of exploring, learning, and connecting with nature. We can't wait to see what adventures next week will bring!
